Gah. Is summer really over? It can’t be, right? Well. I guess I’ll act like it is, and maybe in a few days I’ll find out that it was all a cruel joke and I can go back to sleeping late and playing my way through every Tycoon game ever created.
( On to the reminising. )

Hello, all!
I'm at a bit of a standstill on my latest movie project - no worries, Sounisians, it's on it's way, but I need to get a time set up for filming and everything. So that I'll have something to do in this brief artistic wasteland, I've been sending out feelers for a more nebulous, but nonetheless intruiguing, project: a documentary.
The plan is this. I'm asking people to send me their opinions on a subject, and then I'll use the ideas for a script. I'm really looking forward to it, and I think once you've heard the idea, you will, too. Here it is:
Fanpeople. Girls, boys, dabblers, full-blown crazies, fanart, fanfiction, online, offline, comms, livejournal, 'til midnight parties, the works. It sometimes seems like it's one big, new, strange world - What do you think of it all?

So, yeah. Souji is in this, although since I don't know how internet cautious she is I won't point out which one is her. She can if she wants to. I'm the one who closes her eyes at the very end (director cameo!).
Please watch and review!!
( It's an instrumental, btw )

It's three forty five and my day has been over for four hours.
I guess it's just the weird schedule I get into at a horse show... but it's annoying, whatever the heck it is. My adrenaline gets going so much doing the jumpers (especially when the rounds go as *cough* regrettably as they did today), I'm just tired and ready for bed as soon as they're done. But I can't, and since neither me nor my mom can think of anything to do (shopping spree at the nearest shopping mall has already been tried, thank you very much), I'm going to post randomly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yaaaaaaaaaay!

Hey guys!!!
This post has been written over a few weeks, since I’ve been very busy – and recently there has been a HUGE announcement in the QT world, which I’m sure most of you know about, since I met 98% of you through Sounis. BUT, if you’re in the leftover 2%, go check out Sounis for info on the new book, A Conspiracy of Kings!! It will be out in April of 2010. Now on to the post, which is about Into the Woods.

But for now, here is the FILMED version of scene five of Squad. I know it says scene four, but that is a lie. I hadn't realized I needed a scene in between three and four, but I do. Someday I will write it, but don't hold your breath.
The actors are all various people in my school. I never come onscreen. So, here it is:

It's a screenwriting one, with all sorts of MADLY FAMOUS PEOPLE working there. It would have looked so good on my college apps!!!!!!!!!!!! meh. I can haz frustration now, plz?

In which I talk about Disney, addressing the burning questions:
Why doesn’t Disney channel deserve to call itself mindless junk, much less creative?
Why am I suddenly excited about Disney animation again?
Why am I continuously optimistic about Pirates 4?

Prepare for pontification.
This is the first year I've really been interested in the outcome of the Oscars. Movies in general have become more interesting to me, now that I'm interested in the creative process and the way they're put together. So, now I've watched the Oscars, I have some observations.
Observation #1:
Benjamin Button is a limelight-stealing FAIL.
Come on, do I need to say more? It's a Brad Pitt movie about a guy who grows backwards. Their magical selection of screenplay is: "do you want to sleep together" "absolutely". And yet, it took... makeup, art direction, and visual effects. THINGS THAT DID NOT BELONG TO IT.
Observation #2:
Slumdog Millionaire is as bad as Benjamin Button.
And FAR more limelight-stealing. AUUUGGGG *shakes fist*. It took: Adapted Screenplay, Cinamtography, Sound Mixing, Film Editing, Original Score, Original Song, Director, and Film. Ok, maybe it was good. Maybe it was fantastic, I don't know. But it doesn't deserve all that.
Observation #3:
Hugh Jackman is cool.
Obviously.
Observation #4:
The Twilight guy is a DORK.
"Um... yeah.... these are romance movies... the vampire makeup is permantly tatooed on my face... I'm talking so low no one can hear me..."
Observation #5:
No one appricates good movies anymore.
WHAT HAPPENED TO WALL-E? WALL-E CAN KICK ANY OF THOSE OTHER MOVIES IN THEIR CUSHY PINK PATOOTIES ANY DAY, TIME AND PLACE. BUT HE WOULDN'T BECAUSE HE'S TOO NICE.
Observation #6:
The Academy is STUPID.
See above.
That is my pontification. Thank you and good night.

MEH.
I found this meme a long time ago, and I thought it was cool. Now I'm bored and I want to try it out, but I can't find it again, so I don’t know the exact rules. So I'm improving. As far as I remember, this was what it said:
RULES:
1) choose ten of your favorite movies
2) go on imdb and find quotes from the movies
3) post quotes
4) ask people to guess which movie it's from, and add that person's name to the quote when they guess correctly. They are NOT allowed to go on imdb.
So here's what I came up with. (my mom is not allowed to comment, btw. We have very similar tastes in movies and she’d get them all off the bat.)
( CHEESE IS GOOD. SERIOUSLY. )

God, I'm like a darking or something. funfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfun.
RULES:
1. Put your MP3 player, iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
4. Tag at least 10 friends (make me #11 so I can see your results).
5. Everyone tagged has to do the same thing.
6. Have Fun!
I'm not going to tag anyone, I'm too lazy. Just play along if you want to.
Since my favorite song didn't come up when I put this on shuffle, I'm using it as the link. 'Cause I don't want poor Coldplay to get left out.( Viva la Vida )

The months leading up to the Inkheart movie have been an emotional rollercoaster for me. ‘Look at this trailer! It looks so good!’ ‘Now there’s another trailer and it stinks…’ ‘they’ve got screenshots!’ ‘Whoa, their Resa is uber ugly…’ Etc. I went to see it with some friends yesterday, so I'm gonna review it. First a three word review, then a longer pontification.
Three word review: It. Was. AWESOME.
Spoilers behind the cut! (I don’t spoil anything new from the movie – so if you’ve read the book go right ahead.)

Hey, guys! The work in progress title for this is Squad, hence the name of the post.
Here's the edited version of the first scene, and the unedited second and third. The second is very short, and mostly silent, actually, so I put on the third for fun. Keep in mind that scene three depends heavily on Ted's detachement. When he makes comments like, 'good gosh, I'm an idiot!' or 'She's never been like this before', he's talking to himself. He tries to consentrate several times (the longest period being when he's talking to Laura), but he keeps going back to his own thoughts. I'm telling myself that this is why he confirms Laura's suspicions when it probably was a bad idea, even a dangerous one.
Please don't use any of this without my permission. Since this is my first real attempt at a screenplay, I'd like to keep control over it. Thank you!

I'm back from Las Vegas! It was a lot of fun, even though I had a sore throat from all the smoke. I do not believe I have ever been somewhere where people smoke that much. All the people trying to give you tickets to strip shows were a downside, as well. I mean, come on. I'm fifteen, and a girl. Am I really your target audience? But there were highlights. The food was awesome, and we saw two cool shows: Ka, by Cirque du Soleil, and The Phantom of the Opera. Here are my reviews of it all! (I've included links for both Ka and Phantom, in case you're interested.)

Not that there wasn't stress. We all got snowed in, and my presents for my parents got stuck at school. Joy to the world. It's weird having a white, and not a wet, Christmas. Here in the PNW, the herald of the season tends to be the rain. I won't say that wasn't an epic snowball fight, though...
And then, to wrap up Christmas day, I got what I think may be one of the best Christmas presents of all time.
Here's the hint:
(I know all the pictures are backwards. It just makes it that much harder)
